Happy New Year LLY readers! After experiencing some technical issues over the past few months it’s a huge relief to have the site back up and running. And what better way to kick off the year than with some simple rules that we can all try and live by.

1. Be consistent

Inconsistency could be the one thing hindering your career or personal development. It takes discipline and commitment to achieve consistency – neither of which are easy and we’re not all lucky enough to be born with these qualities. Work hard at developing positive habits and sticking to helpful routines. Keep doing the things that make you feel good and deliver the best results.

2. Plan ahead

You owe it to yourself to make organisation a priority, so if you’ve got something important on the agenda prepare yourself accordingly. Got a presentation to deliver? Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. Want to nail a job interview? Make sure you’ve researched the company back to front and show up armed with the answers to questions you’re likely to be asked.

3. Make the best impression

If you aren’t showcasing your best self at work every day, why not? Do an excellent job, impress your boss, inspire your colleagues, make your interactions memorable and have fun doing it. When it comes time for promotions you want to be at the forefront of everyone’s mind.

Wishing you your best and most purposeful year yet. LLY
