The Returners to Financial Services Scotland programme has launched and will be offering paid ‘returnship’ placements to women which will provide them with the training needed to update their skills and prepare them for employment.

For those accepted onto the scheme, placements will run from April to July 2018 with one of the 13 employers taking part, which include BNP Paribas Securities Services, RBS Group, Standard Life Aberdeen and TSB.

Scotlands Minister for Employability and Training, Jamie Hepburn, said: “The Scottish Government’s Women Returners programme is playing a key role in identifying and addressing the issues which prevent women re-entering the workforce following a career break. I’m delighted these leading financial companies are supporting women returners.”
