Apple has announced the launch of its Entrepreneur Camp – a new programme created to support app organisations founded and run by women.
Dubbed a ‘first-of-its-kind’ initiative, those who land a place in Entrepreneur Camp will benefit from unique and specialised training, support and mentoring opportunities including an intensive technology lab and a a two-week immersive program at Apple’s campus. Ongoing support from an Apple Developer representative also comes as part of the package.
Apple CEO, Tim Cook, said of the programme: “Apple is committed to helping more women assume leadership roles across the tech sector and beyond. We’re proud to help cultivate female leadership in the app development community with the new Apple Entrepreneur Camp, and we’re inspired both by the incredible work that’s already happening, and what’s sure to come.”
