After its launch in 2018, the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC) is accepting applications for its third cohort.
The 12-month leadership and management-building programme is looking for 200 women from across Africa and the wider diaspora. They’ll be guided through a learning model which will equip them with the knowledge and network needed to build “resilient and scalable” businesses. This will include learning practical skills from successful CEOs and business school professors along with business mentorship.
AWEC welcomes applications from current or aspiring women entrepreneurs. Three quarters of its alumni have reported increased revenue with an average annual increase of $9,211. Additionally, 69% of participants say they’ve improved their business strategy and 66% have developed their business management expertise.
Applications for the next cohort open today (4 December) and will close on 17 December. Those who are interested in joining can apply here.
